Tertiary & Vocational Pathway (TVP)
This pathway is designed to prepare students to continue onto tertiary studies or to transition to work and
to receive a Tertiary Selection Rank and a QCE. To gain entrance to tertiary institutions (in Queensland only)
students are awarded a Tertiary Selection Rank that is calculated using levels of achievement in both
Authority and Authority Registered Subjects and from any Certificate III or higher course completed prior to
the end of Year 12. A schedule is used to convert these levels to a Tertiary Selection Rank which is used by
QTAC to allocate tertiary entrance places.
