Who can enrol?

St Rita’s College enrols girls from Years 5 – 12. Founded on the charism of Nano Nagle and inspired by the Presentation Sisters, St Rita's College is a faith community that provides a Catholic education for young women. Our student body is rich and varied and students from diverse religious backgrounds are welcome to apply.

Parents enrolling their daughters at St Rita's accept the College’s expectations in terms of student attendance at formal religious education lessons and religious exercises as outlined in the College Mission Statement.

Applications for both the Year 5 and Year 7 entry are considered at the same time. This means that families are required to indicate their preferred entry year - depending on family circumstances and student preferences this may be Year 5 or Year 7.

All other years

Are we required to attend an enrolment interview?

All offers of enrolment at the College will be made subject to consideration of the information contained in the Enrolment Application and an interview with a member of the College Leadership Team.

Invitations for Year 5 and Year 7 entry interviews will be made in writing during Term 1 when your daughter is in Year 4. Successful applications will be contacted to arrange a suitable interview time.

Interviews for students seeking entry into years other than Year 5 and Year 7 will be conducted throughout the year subject to available places within the desired entry year level. Families will be contacted to arrange a suitable interview time to meet with members of the College Leadership Team.

When are offers of enrolment made?

Out of intake applications are addressed on a case by case basis and offers are made in writing throughout the year.

How do I accept an offer of enrolment?

Enrolment Contract and Enrolment Fee

If an offer of enrolment is made, parents will be asked to confirm their acceptance of paying an Enrolment Fee. This sum is payable as a single payment of $1,000 on acceptance. You will also be asked to sign and return the Enrolments Contract. In the event of a cancellation, enrolment deposits are non-refundable.

Commencement Fee

In the year prior to your child starting at St Rita’s College, you will be asked to pay a Commencement Fee of $1,000.00. This fee is non-refundable and non-transferable, however, it will be deducted from your first term’s tuition fees.

If we receive an offer, can we defer commencement?

When you receive an offer of enrolment it will specify a specific commencement year. If you choose to decline this offer you can request to be placed on our waitlist for future vacancies in other years. As vacancies become available the College will make subsequent offers in line with our Enrolment Policy.

If you receive an offer for Year 5, there is no guarantee a position will be available in Year 7 as applications for both the Year 5 and Year 7 intake are considered at the same time.

What happens if my daughter does not receive an offer?

Each year the College receives a high number of applications for limited positions and unfortunately we are unable to accommodate everyone. If your daughter does not receive an offer you can request to be placed on our waitlist. As vacancies become available the College will make subsequent offers in line with our Enrolment Policy.

What happens if my daughter does not receive a Year 5 offer?

Applications for both the Year 5 and Year 7 entry are considered at the same time. In the event the College is not able to offer your daughter a Year 5 position, your daughter will be considered for a Year 7 position. As vacancies become available the College will make subsequent offers in line with our Enrolment Policy.
