Students from Years 7—12 are invited to train and potentially compete in the Queensland Youth Theatresports Competition. Theatresports is a team sport that allows students to learn and then play out at a competitive level short theatre games which form the basis of an improvised scene. Students are scored on their technique, the quality of the improvised story and its entertainment value.

Deceptively challenging, Theatresports builds improvisation, team building and creative problem solving skills with students competing against schools from around the State. Participants and audience members are expected to participate with the basic philosophy of Theatresports in mind, that is, ‘it just doesn’t matter’, with good sportspersonship required at all times.
