701 News & Blogs CarnivalA hallmark of St Rita’s since inception has been the involvement of its community in the life of the school and it is one of College’s greatest strengths. The Parents and Friends Association and the Association’s subcommittees develop and action key whole of school community events and opportunities annually and the involvement from parents in the education of their daughter through this meaningful engagement is held in high regard. The Association meets each month, Term time, and is a platform for parents to hear firsthand from the Principal about College, teaching, learning and student matters.

Our enthusiastic and highly supportive parent community work hard to provide a range of social opportunities that brings parents/guardians of all Year levels and House groups together. They bring a wealth of knowledge, expertise and enthusiasm in volunteering for the various community events and projects such as Walkout, Carnival, Year 7 Sleepover, New Parent Welcome BBQ, Mother and Daughter Dinner, Father and Daughter Breakfast and many other projects and events each year, and some of these projects raise funds to specifically assist the acquisition of additional learning resources for the girls and for improvements to the College.

Our Parents & Friends Association exemplifies the charism of Nano Nagle – simplicity, compassion and hospitality – and that of St Rita – courage, justice and hope.
