Traffic Management for Return to On Campus Learning - Years 5-12 Traffic Management for Return to On Campus Learning - Years 5-12

Dear Parents/Carers

This communication provides the Traffic Management information for the return of classes on campus from Monday next week, 7 February, which parents are asked to read through, take note of, and observe.

It has been some years since the College has had all Year levels commencing ‘first day’ on the same date, and this year we also warmly welcome the new Year 5 cohort along with our new Year 7 students. As such, the College is faced with safe traffic management responsibilities on Enderley Road, particularly during the morning Drop Off period. If we do not put a procedure in place for families to follow, congestion in the neighbourhood could lead to accidents and unpleasantness.

This communication details the processes in place for Year 5, Year 7 and Years 8-12 arrival to school specifically for Monday 7 February. Thereafter, due diligence, attention to safety and road regulations is required by all drivers during the morning Drop Off period.

A Flow Through traffic plan is in place for Year 5 Afternoon Pick Up,  which applies from Monday 7 February and beyond. The details of this are also carried in this communication.

  • It is important that all parents/family members read, fully understand and follow the morning Drop Off procedures carried within this communication, and be aware of and observe the Year 5 Afternoon Pick Up system.

If all families carry out the plan, and show patience and courtesy, we should achieve happy and safe Drop Off and Pick Up periods. The plan has been set down to ensure the safety of your daughter and all students of the College using Enderley Road. It has been shared with relevant authorities and received approval.

Yours sincerely

Mrs Dale Morrow

Parent Communication
Forms of Official College Communication

Forms of Official College Communication

Parents are reminded of the College’s official channels of communication. Parents should ensure their email address and App subscriptions are up to date and that they are checking messages regularly.

College App (i.e. the Digistorm App – not MySRC). The College App remains the College’s main platform form communication to parents, with approximately 90%+ communication channeled via the App.  All parents should have the App downloaded and their subscriptions set – i.e. Year level; sport or music daughters plays, etc.  The App’s interface also connects you to the College Absentee Form, the MySRC Calendar, MySRC, Operoo, the Online Boutique and Verbis (Newsletter).

Email. Email is used for matters which are deemed Highly Important. An example is the recent communication regarding the important details of the Delayed Start to the School Year.  A link to these communications will invariably also (but not always) be posted on the App after being emailed. This is to assist convenience of finding the communication for parents.

MySRC.  MySRC is the College student Learning Management System, where parents can monitor their daughter’s learning – see assessment and examination dates; see continuous report and download Semester Reports; and email teachers of their daughter. MySRC is used for communication with students and staff. It is not used for official communication to parents.

Highly sensitive communications: These will come to families via email and not appear on the College App.

Critical matters: such as a sudden closure of the College for any reason. These will come via the App. It is unlikely such incidents would be conveyed via email, as power or servers may not be available and the App does not rely on these. If email is possible, it will also be used.

Verbis – Fortnightly Newsletter, Term time. First edition for 2022 will be Thursday 10 February. Verbis will often carry ‘first release’ information, particularly of curriculum or teaching/learning matters, as well as sports information and College community news.
