These tickets are sold at a discounted price. Please use this link to book: Click Here

A wealth of information and notifications are provided in this communication. Please take the time to read through each item as many will be new to parents/carers and don’t hesitate to contact the College should you have any queries.

Reminder - Absentee Notification
When a student is absent
When arriving after the first bell of the day

When a student is absent

It is a parental duty of care requirement to inform the College of any absence from school, for any length of time, including events and sporting commitments. This also includes late arrivals and early departures. It is important to log absences through the College Online Absence form, which is accessed from the College App or the College website. Messages from parents of absence to Heads of House or Teaching Staff are not logged.

Parents/Carers are asked to notify the school before 8:30am of their daughter’s absence, late arrival or early departure via the Online Absentee Form, accessible from the College App, the College Website and MySRC. If due to the absence your daughter will be missing a Cocurricular Music lesson or ensemble rehearsal or Speech and Communication lesson, this can be indicated on the form and the relevant staff member will be notified.

If your daughter has an assessment due on the day of absence, the assessment must still be submitted or delivered to the school as per the instructions on the assessment sheet. Any concerns should be emailed promptly to the class teacher.

Emails or text messages to staff are not accepted for absentee notification.

The College will contact parents/carers via SMS regarding any unexplained absences.

Thank you for your cooperation with this duty of care and administrative matter.

When arriving after the first bell of the day

When a student arrives to school after the first bell of the day has rung, they are required to report to Student Services to sign in at the Arrival/Departure Kiosk. Parents/Carers will be notified via email of all late arrivals.

Parent and Emergency Contact Details - Update Required
Please Update Parent and Emergency Contact Details

Please Update Parent and Emergency Contact Details

ALL parents/carers are asked to check their home and/or work email address/es and telephone number/s in BOTH Synergetic and Operoo and make updates if any detail is not current. At the same time, parents/carers are asked to also check and update emergency contact person details.

The College is finding many differences with parent emails on MySRC to that of the same parent in Operoo.  It is important that all parents log in and check their details.  It is necessary to make any changes in both systems, as they are not auto-linked to each other.

Who the Emergency Person Should Be:

  • The College will always contact a parent in the first instance in the event of an illness or accident with their daughter. The Emergency Contact person in MySRC is not to be the student’s parent, but should be someone the College can easily make contact with in the event we cannot quickly get hold of either parent. If a parent/carer or emergency contact needs to be contacted urgently due to illness or accident with their daughter, telephone is used.

MySRC: Use the ‘My Details’ button on the brown ribbon at the top of the page in MySRC to make any changes in MySRC.

Operoo: Please log in to Operoo from MySRC or the Links panel in the College App and check that your email and contact details are the same as in MySRC. The Primary Contact email and mobile must be entered. You are also encouraged to also ensure the Secondary email and mobile is also entered, even though the system states that this is optional. This person must only be the student’s official Secondary Contact- e.g. Father or Mother – NOT an emergency contact.

The College App is used for the majority of College communication to parents - general, sport, music, debating and community. The App is available on Google Play for Android and Apple App Store for iOS and it is regarded as essential that all parents download the App and set subscriptions to ensure they receive the messages they require.

Click here for the SRC App User Guide.

College Fortnightly Newsletter – Verbis

Verbis, the electronic College newsletter, is published fortnightly on a Thursday via the App and is one of the College’s most important communication channels. It is an expectation of the College that parents/carers take the time to read VerbisThe first edition for Term 2 will be published on Thursday 29 April.

MySRC Calendar

The MySRC Calendar is your ‘go to’ for dates and information on meetings and events. From time to time the date, time or detail of a meeting or event may have to be unavoidably changed. Whilst these changes will be conveyed to the College community via the College App, please be aware that the MySRC calendar will always carry the most up to date information.

The Calendar on MySRC is easily accessed on mobile phone via the College App, laptop, desktop or tablet devices.

Operoo Communications

Communications issued through Operoo are generally important Duty of Care based matters such as excursion, permissions and/or special events. Please respond to communication requests issued through Operoo at the earliest opportunity and by the requested date. Reminders will continue to occur on a timed basis until a response has been submitted.

Please also ensure student medical and parent contact details are kept up to date in Operoo so that supervising staff have instant access to medical information and parent contact details.

PLEASE NOTE: Parent contact changes made in Operoo do not sync with MySRC. Please ensure any contact details made in Operoo are also made in your MySRC account. Operoo can be accessed from the Parent tile of MySRC or the College App 'Links'.

Safe Driving Reminder to Parents and Student Drivers

Please continue to take extra caution in Enderley Road and the surrounding streets and adhere to Council laws and the provisions of the Traffic Management Plan, not only at drop off and pick up times, but also when attending meetings or College events. We thank all drivers for their commitment to keep our students safe and for your respect for our neighbours’ properties.

  • The approach to the College in Enderley Road is a 40km maximum speed zone during the hours of 7:00-9:00am and 2:00-4:00pm.
  • Drop off and pick up zones in Enderley Road are two minute zones only. Please do not park and leave your vehicle unattended for any length of time in these zones.
  • The Enderley Road Assisted Crossing is operational between the hours of 7:45am to 8:45am and from 2:45pm to 3:45pm only, when the Crossing Supervisor is present and the flags are in place. • No stopping or parking is allowed in yellow lined areas, either in Enderley Road or Stafford Street. Ignoring the yellow lined areas over two driveways directly opposite the College entrance in Enderley Road is of particular concern for the residents of these properties.
  • No students are to enter or exit the College via the Stafford Street entry to the College.
  • Double Parking is illegal, regardless of whether the driver is in the vehicle.
  • Please respect access to driveways for residents when parking. Student drivers are requested to give staff and parent volunteers priority to parking in Enderley Road.

Carnival Business Promotion Opportunity

Do you have a business that could sponsor or donate a prize for the 2021 St Rita’s Carnival Raffle and benefit from some exposure in return?

Mrs Pattie Pozzebon is kindly organising the Carnival Raffle and the committee is on the search for some great prizes. We had some fantastic prizes for the 2019 Carnival Raffle, which helped raise almost $40,000 for the school, and it would be great to see another successful raffle. This year, funds raised from the Carnival Raffle will go towards creating more outdoor social space for the students to enjoy, with new seating, landscaping and building works.

We have some generous prizes confirmed already, including a $3,000 Clayfield Jewellery voucher, a 2-night Weekend Getaway at Treetops Seaview Montville worth over $1,000, a formal dress from When Freddy Met Lilly, an iPad from Datacom and a 3-month gym membership at 12RND Clayfield Fitness.

Other prizes we are hoping to add to the prize pool include (but are not limited to) the following:

  • 1st prize – Visa Debit Card to the value of $10,000 or an alternative prize around this dollar value
  • 2nd prize – Visa Debit Card to the value of $5,000 or an alternative prize around this dollar value
  • Apple Pack – Total estimated value $1807: iPhone 11 – approx. value $1079, iWatch SE GPS & Cellular approx. value $499, airpods approx value $229

If you don’t have a business but are able to provide a financial donation or purchase one of the nominated prizes, we would also love to hear from you. We’d really appreciate any support you can offer.

If you would like to discuss the possibility of providing sponsorship or a financial donation towards any of the prizes please contact Mrs Pattie Pozzebon on 0407 168 991 or pattie.duke@optusnet.com.au
