Uniform Policy

It is requested that parents/carers check that the uniforms being worn by their daughter/s meet the College Uniform policy and that any adjustments needed are rectified before the return to school next week. Each student is expected to maintain high standards of personal appearance and it is the responsibility of parents/carers to ensure that the uniform is being worn each day in accordance with the College regulations.

In brief:

  • The formal dress is to be mid knee in length and clean. Hems should be neat and secure and not hanging at any point.
  • Socks and Shoes should be clean, with shoes well-polished and laces secure.
  • Hats should be clean, in good shape, and bands not fraying severely.
  • The College blazer is compulsory in Terms 2 and 3 for Years 10-12 students.

Students may receive an infringement notice if College expectations are not met with regard to the wearing of the uniform. A Pastoral Reconnect will immediately result if more than two infringement notices are issued.

The Boutique is open Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday each week and the online store open 24/7 with collection the next opening day, or if your online order is placed within the Boutique trading hours, the order can generally be collected the same day.

Emergency Contact - Urgent Updating Required

All parents are requested to check the listed Emergency Contact person/s details they have lodged with the College. Please log into Operoo and check these details prior to school’s commencement next week.

Emergency Contacts ARE NOT to be either parent. The College will always contact parents in the first instance. The Emergency Contact/s is the person the College will contact in the event either parent cannot be quickly contacted. This should be a responsible person – either a relative, friend or neighbour - who you would entrust the College contacting should your daughter be unwell or have an accident.

Validity of Student Go Cards

TransLink have issued notifications to schools concerning the validity of Student go cards. Parents are asked to check that their daughter’s go card is in order.

Primary, secondary and home education students can travel in South East Queensland using a go card.

  • Students aged 5-14 years (inclusive) need an orange child go card. The go card expiry will be set to the student's 15th birthday.
  • School students 15 years and older must hold a valid student ID and buy a green concession go card online, at selected retailers, or over the phone.  Once you have your concession go card, please update its expiry date at the retailer. This will be set to the same expiry date as your student ID.

Click Here for all TransLink information regarding the issue and updating of go cards.

Reminder Student Parent Teacher Interviews

A reminder that bookings for Student/Parent/Teacher interviews being held on Monday (Student Free Day) between 1:30pm-6:30pm will close at 11:59pm this-evening, Thursday 8 July.

If you miss out on booking for Monday, interviews will also be held on Thursday 20 July. Bookings for this date close at 11:59pm on Thursday 15 July.

Student-Parent-Teacher Interviews are not compulsory, however they are highly recommended as a means to initiate and continue a partnership for 2021 to support your daughter’s learning.

Please click on this link to book: Click Here

Please note the following staff changes due to leave or marriage. Parents whose daughter has classes with any of these teachers are to book with the Semester 2 2021 teacher listed in italics.

  • Mrs Laura Miller: Miss Tessa Kurtz
  • Mrs Bliss Coster: Miss Ellissa Purser
  • Miss Ellissa Purser: Miss Kate Atkinson
  • Miss Katrina Schieber: Mrs Katrina Gibson

Academic Transcripts and Reports

Semester 1 2021 Academic Reports for students in Years 7-11 can be accessed via MySRC. Go to My Students/Academic Reports.

Semester 1 2021 Academic Reports for students in Year 12 are not yet available as not all subject results have been finalised. Year 12 parents/carers will be advised when their daughter’s Report is available. In the meantime, progress can be viewed under the Grades tab of MySRC. Results for all confirmed subjects can been accessed in the QCAA Student Portal.

Reminder - SET Plans and VETiS Meetings

Year 10 parents today received a reminder of their time booked for SET Plan or SET Plan/VETiS meeting being held next week. Instructions to join the meeting have also been provided. If you did not receive this email, please contact Mrs Roberts at the College: administration@stritas.qld.edu.au

Students who are Unwell

Students who are unwell must remain at home. The College’s Zero Tolerance of any Flu-like symptoms remains in place, as does the management process of students who present at school with Flu-like symptoms. These students will be assessed by a College First-Aid officer and parents contacted for immediate collection of their daughter if it is deemed your daughter should not be at school.

Students do not have permission to independently telephone their parents and ask to be taken home if they feel unwell. Students are to adhere to the College early departure procedures – present to Student Services and Mrs Timcke will contact parents if a departure is necessary.

Parents/Visitors coming on to Campus - Face Masks and Check-In Qld App Mandatory

All parents and visitors coming onto campus are to continue to arrive to College Main Reception at the Nagle Building (not Student Services). All parents are required to log in via the Check-in Qld App in addition to the College Sign In-Sign Out procedures for visitors to the College regardless of the purpose or length of your visit, including the collection of daughters who are ill or are attending external appointments. This procedure is a government directive and is required even if you are dropping off an essential item to your daughter.

Under current government directives, all visitors to the College must wear Face Masks. This directive is currently in place until Friday 16 July.

Safe Driving and the Enderley Road Crossing

Parent, Staff and Student drivers are reminded to ensure they drive safely at all times; adhere to road rules and parking laws and be respectful of local residents and access to their properties.

Parents are not to drop off, pick up (no matter the brief length of time) or park along any yellow-lined section of Enderley Road.

The new Enderley Road Crossing is operational between the hours of 7:45am to 8:45am and from 2.45pm to 3.45pm only, when the Crossing Supervisor is in attendance and the flags are in place. During these hours, all students and any parents who need to come on to campus are to only use the Crossing.

Students waiting for buses on Alexandra Road

When waiting for buses on the College side of Alexandra Road, students should wait along the nature strip between the footpath and residential properties. Students are requested to stand back from the road and be mindful they don’t block the footpath for other users and don’t block residential entries. Students should ensure any rubbish or belongings are taken with them and not left outside residential properties.
