Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) — Years 7 to 12
Order a Technology Device - JB Hi-Fi Education Purchasing Portal Available
St Rita's College runs a Bring Your Own Device program for students in Years 7 to 12. Each student brings her own device to school, and it must meet the College's minimum specifications so that it works with our systems and can handle the demands of the curriculum.
What you need to do
- Check the specifications. Minimum device specifications and software requirements are set out in the Family Handbook.
- Order your device — through the JB Hi-Fi Education BYOD Portal (recommended) or from any other supplier.
- Order by Friday 4 December 2026 if you are using the portal, to ensure delivery before the Christmas/New Year break.
Ordering through the JB Hi-Fi Education Portal
The College has partnered with JB Hi-Fi Education to give families a reliable way to buy school-approved technology. The portal offers a curated range of devices and accessories, all approved by the College for compatibility with our academic programs and school systems.
Visit the JB Hi-Fi Education BYOD Portal and enter School Code STRITASBYOD2027 for access.
The JB Hi-Fi Education Parent HUB is also available if you need help with your order.
Why we recommend the portal
- Approved, durable devices — every device meets or exceeds our minimum specifications and is chosen to stand up to daily student use.
- Education pricing — competitive pricing available only to the education sector.
- Strong warranty cover — extended warranty options include Accidental Damage Protection from day one, covering damage regardless of the cause.
- Protective case included — every purchase comes with a premium hard case.
- Delivered ready to use — devices are delivered to the College and pre-configured for our systems, with collection organised by the IT department. There is nothing to set up at home.
- Repairs handled here — the College can coordinate repairs, with qualified technicians completing work onsite where possible.
Buying from another supplier
Families are welcome to purchase from any supplier, provided the device meets the College's minimum specifications. Devices bought outside the portal will not arrive pre-configured, and will not include delivery and collection through the College, the bundled protective case, or College-coordinated repairs. Please check the specifications and software requirements in the Family Handbook carefully before you buy.
