Our Vision Statement

Our Pillars
The College recognises two patrons: Nano Nagle, the founder of the Presentation Order, and St Rita of Cascia, the Saint of Impossible Causes, after whom the College is named.
Our six pillars, which are drawn from our Presentation charism and the life of St Rita, underpin all we do:
Presentation: Compassion, Hospitality, Simplicity
St Rita: Courage, Justice, Hope
Our Patrons
As a College community we share a spirit of hope and gratitude as we celebrate our two patrons - Saint Rita of Cascia and Venerable Nano Nagle. In the establishment of our College in 1926, the legacies of these two remarkable women became irrevocably intertwined, laying the foundation for St Rita’s College as we know it today. As a Presentation community, we have been richly blessed to have Rita and Nano as our guiding lights for over 100 years.
The connections between Rita and Nano are profound. Though they lived in different centuries, countries and circumstances, both women responded to the suffering of their times with courage, compassion and hope, dedicating their lives to the service of those most in need. Their witness reflects a deep trust in God, a commitment to justice and mercy, and a steadfast belief in the dignity of every person. Through quiet strength and faithful action, Rita and Nano continue to inspire us to live lives marked by kindness, resilience and love.
The gift that our founding sisters gave us through our dual patronage is one of our greatest blessings, for through Rita and Nano we learn how to live lives of purpose, shaped by faith, guided by hope, and committed to justice for others, grounded in faith and love.
We acknowledge the Turrbal and Jagera people, the traditional owners of the land where St Rita’s College now stands.
